last nite the pens at buffalo opened pk -25. this morning, after hearing lemieux is out, suddenly the sabres (who have won ONCE - yup - just one time - in their last 15 games) are pick -30. so if my math is correct, this means SOME IDIOT(s) out there thinks mario is worth 35 cents to the number. well, guess what? mario wasnt worth 35 cents ten years ago, never mind now when he cant skate and constantly turns the puck over. yeah, i know he scored 11 goals, but over half his points came while STATIONARY on the power play. so what does this mean to us SEMI-IDIOTS? just keep waiting while the guys who think they are getting value with those mighty sharp sabres keep moving the number giving the pens more value...and then right before face-off jump all over pittsburgh.

Bobby,

I agree and disagree at the same time.

I agree Pitt should not be +120 w/o Mario. I disagree that he is not worth 30 cents to the line (and even more to the total). I think the -125 was the mistake line that should have been -150 and then now -115 or so, so it was wrong in the first place but the adjustment was accurate just to a poor line.

In Pitt's last 6 games they've gone 14/29 on the PP and added only 8 regular strength goals. So while Lemieux may do most of his contributing on the PP, its the PP that has scored 60+% of their goals recently.

Even sillier is the OTT -118 line. With Jagr and Bondra that line is close, but with them both gametime decisions...that line is absurd. Jump on OTT, if they play you've a decent price, if not an amazing one.

Agree 100%. 10 years ago Mario made his supporting cast look way better then they were(Rob Brown, Doug Shedden, Kevin Stevens. Presently Hrdina, Kovalev, Straka, Make him look better then he is. Mario is still a solid player but IMO he is a defensive liability and is barely worth a dime

Pittsburg may be looking ahead to a big game vs Boston on Saturday & Buffalo has been playing a bit better as of late and may build on a 1-1 tie with TB?? .500 last 4 1-1-1-1...

Taking away some PP punch with those players sitting, may hinder the Pens a bit who have been on fire on the PP the last few games, game might be closer then some expect...but I see no value at all with the Sabres also

I do like the under though /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ivan:

I graduated high school at age 16. I have my own house, my own business and a TSE securities and exchange diploma. You, on the other hand, are a good kid with a big mouth. I actually like you Ivan, you piss me off sometimes when you run your mouth. I love how you say on your site that you are a professional gambler though. I know you work hard at Staples for your money, and when you went through that big losing streak I really felt bad for you. I even talked to sick gambler about it a couple of times and we agreed do try and help you. I mean, you kept posting all those frowning faces. It almost made me cry to be honest. The best though was when you told sick gambler that I was beantownjim. Unknown to you Ivan, 88% of the posters here know EXACTLY who BTJ is, and know that I'm not him. When you told everyone that you had done an IP search, it was hiliarious. Then I posted once as him and you copy and pasted it underneath, so that I wouldn't be able to erase my post. It was classic - you REALLY thought I was him.

Good luck to you Ivan, you are a good kid at heart and I like you. You are a Canuck like me and you love your hockey, like me. BTW, I'm older than you so respect your elders you deadbeat.

Take care

Sean

I know that you are very knowledgeable hockey and normally know when players are out. Can you tell me if Jagr or Bondra are out. Thanks.

The games continue huh? Thanks for posting your resume in a thread that had to do with a line move in a hockey game. Your a real asset to the forum, game fixing, stuff like "yeah you thought I was him and everyone knows that this poster is actually this guy, but promised not to reveal this posters identity" Jus classic halarious shit.
Lets turn the hockey forum into Vega's playhouse. We will play cool games like "guess what poster I am now" And lets play make believe and pretend a sportsbook owes us 75K. all sorts of fun games serious gamblers like to play when they come to this forum. Yipeeeeeeeee
